Question 1: The captured OLTC transition waveform is incomplete during field test
Customer: I use this 6-channel transformer on-load tap analyzer for substation OLTC test, but the captured transition waveform is incomplete and cannot display the whole tap switching process. What may cause this problem?
Manufacturer: First check all A/B/C test wiring and alligator clamps. Ensure clamps tightly attach to the tap changer terminals without oxide, rust or loose contact. Verify the trigger threshold setting on the tester; improper threshold value will lead to waveform loss. Confirm the tap changer operates smoothly without mechanical stuck. Restart the instrument and redo the test. If the issue remains, contact our technical support team.
Question 2: 6-channel data shows inconsistent synchronism results
Customer: The tester gives inconsistent three-phase synchronism data, and the reading differs greatly from previous factory test records.
Manufacturer: Confirm the transformer tap position matches the parameter setting of the analyzer. Clean test contact points to remove dirt and oxidation. Inspect each test cable for breaks or poor connection. Keep the instrument and test wires away from high-voltage live cables to reduce electromagnetic interference. Reconnect all wiring and perform the test again.
Question 3: Failed to save test waveform data to USB flash drive
Customer: I insert the USB disk into the device, but the system cannot store OLTC test waveform and data.
Manufacturer: This analyzer only supports USB flash drive formatted with FAT32. NTFS or exFAT format cannot be recognized. Check whether the USB drive is damaged or has bad sectors. Re-plug the USB disk firmly, reboot the tester and retry data saving.
Question 4: Built-in printer outputs blank paper after test
Customer: The printer feeds thermal paper normally, but no content is printed on paper.
Manufacturer: Check the installation direction of thermal paper. Only the thermal coated side can print. Confirm the paper roll is not expired. Replace a new thermal paper roll and test print function. Do not open the printer module by yourself if the problem persists.
