FAQ
Question 1: Abnormal travel & speed test data / Large measurement deviation
Customer: When testing vacuum and SF6 circuit breakers, the measured travel and opening-closing speed data have big deviation compared with factory technical parameters, what brings about this issue?
Manufacturer: Check whether the displacement sensor is firmly mounted and aligned accurately with the moving contact of circuit breaker first. Ensure the sensor bracket and magnetic base will not shift during breaker operation. Confirm you have selected the matching breaker type on the instrument menu. Complete zero calibration before formal test. Inspect sensor cable for damage or poor contact. Retest after adjusting all settings. If deviation still exists, stop testing and contact technical support. Do not open cabinet for self-repair.
Question 2: No signal collected / No waveform displayed on screen
Customer: After finishing wiring work, the tester fails to capture timing signals, and no waveform appears on screen when the circuit breaker executes opening or closing action, how to troubleshoot?
Manufacturer: Check the connection state of switch control line and breaker coil. Confirm external triggering line is properly connected, and all clips have clean contact surface without oxide or dirt. Verify the breaker control voltage matches the instrument output range. Inspect test cables for breakage. Restart instrument and redo the whole wiring setup. If the fault cannot be eliminated, stop operation and contact manufacturer support. Do not open cabinet for self-repair.
Question 3: Failed DC power output / Cannot drive breaker coil
Customer: The instrument cannot output adjustable DC 30~250V power and 20A instantaneous current during site test, so it cannot drive the circuit breaker coil to complete switching action, what should we check?
Manufacturer: Confirm input 220V power supply is stable and power cord connection is tight. Check whether the built-in fuse is blown caused by instantaneous current impact. Verify no short circuit or overload exists on output terminals. Avoid using the tester under over-humid or ultra-high temperature environment which triggers power module protection. Restart instrument to reset protection program. Replace fuse with specified spare part if needed. If the problem persists, stop operation and contact technical support. Do not open cabinet for self-repair.
Question 4: Big three-phase synchronization error / Fail substation acceptance
Customer: Three-phase synchronization test result shows obvious error and cannot satisfy substation handover acceptance standard, what are the possible reasons?
Customer: Check all three groups of test wires are connected reliably, and inconsistent wire length will not interfere signal acquisition. Confirm three phases’ sensor installation positions are consistent. Check the breaker operating mechanism without mechanical jam or rust. Ensure testing environment temperature and humidity are within specified working range. Recalibrate instrument before retesting. If the error still exceeds limit, stop field test and contact technical support. Do not open cabinet for self-repair.
Question 5: Thermal printer fails to print test report
Customer: After finishing dynamic characteristic test, the built-in thermal printer cannot print test report and waveform curve, what can we do?
Manufacturer: Check if thermal printing paper is loaded in the correct direction. Confirm the paper is standard thermal paper and keep dry without dampness. Check the printer roller is clean and not stuck by foreign debris. Restart the print function. If there is no response, power off and reboot the whole instrument. Do not disassemble printer module privately. If printing still fails, stop operation and contact technical support. Do not open cabinet for self-repair.
Question 6: Shipping Method
