FAQ

Question 1: The measured resistance value is unstable and fluctuates greatly during testing
Customer: When I use this handheld contact resistance tester on site, the resistance reading keeps jumping and cannot get stable data. What are the possible reasons?
Manufacturer: This issue is mostly caused by poor contact or electromagnetic interference. First, clean the contact surface of the tested equipment to remove oxide, paint, dust and grease. Check whether the test clamps and alligator clips are firmly clamped without looseness. Confirm that test wires are not damaged. Keep the instrument and test cables away from high-voltage live lines and power cables to reduce electromagnetic interference. Avoid shaking the test leads during measurement. Restart the instrument and perform measurement again after all above checks.
Question 2: Instrument fails to start after long time storage
Customer: The handheld tester cannot power on after being stored for several months. How to troubleshoot?
Manufacturer: It is usually caused by low built-in lithium battery. Connect the 12.6V matching charger to charge the host continuously for 4 hours. Do not use non-original chargers with mismatched voltage. If charging for 4 hours still cannot boot, check whether the charging port is loose or oxidized. If the battery is aging and cannot hold charge, please contact us for battery replacement. Do not disassemble the host by yourself.
