Product Description
For power systems, transformers are core equipment. Therefore, the long-term and reliable operation of transformers is crucial to the stability and reliability of the entire system.
Currently, DC resistance testing and transformer ratio/vector group testing are mandatory items during transformer outage maintenance. To perform these tests, it is necessary to configure a transformer DC resistance tester and a transformer ratio/vector group tester separately. Each test requires carrying two instruments. Since they are two independent instruments, each equipped with dedicated test leads, testing must be conducted separately, and wiring changes are frequently required during the process, resulting in significant waste of manpower, resources, and working hours.
Our company has innovatively developed a dual-function distribution transformer testing system (DC resistance + ratio) powered by a high-capacity lithium battery. FAQ
Question 1: The turns ratio test result is unstable
Customer: When testing transformer turns ratio, the reading keeps jumping and unstable. What should I check?
Manufacturer: Check whether test cables are firmly connected without oxidation or loose terminals. Confirm transformer tap position is set correctly. Keep test leads away from high‑voltage interference cables. Re‑connect all clamps and repeat measurement. If problem remains, contact our support. Do not open the case.
Question 2: Winding resistance test takes too long
Customer: DC winding resistance measurement spends very long time. Is this normal?
Manufacturer: For large‑capacity transformer windings with high inductance, charging‑demagnetizing takes longer time, which belongs to normal phenomenon. Please wait for the full test cycle, do not cut power during testing to avoid instrument damage.
Question 3: Printer cannot print reports
Customer: Test finished but built‑in printer fails to output paper.
Manufacturer: Check whether thermal paper is loaded correctly and paper is not jammed. Confirm printer power is enabled in touch‑screen setting. Replace new thermal paper roll if paper is used up.

Customer: Power connected, instrument screen does not light up.
Manufacturer: Check power cord connection and power supply voltage. Check the power switch and fuse inside the instrument interface. If fuse blown, replace with specified specification fuse. If still no response, contact technical service, do not disassemble.
