Product Description

Dielectric loss measurement is a very basic method in insulation test. It can effectively detect the whole damp deterioration and partial defects of electrical equipment insulation. It is widely used in electrical manufacturing, installation of electrical equipment, handover and preventive testing. Measurement of dielectric loss of transformer, transformer, reactor, capacitor, bushing and arrester is the most basic method to measure their insulation performance.

1. The instrument uses Fourier transform digital filtering technology to measure capacitance, dielectric loss and other parameters. The test result has high precision and is easy to realize automatic measurement.

12. It has the function of CVT test and can realize the self-excitation test of CVT. It can set four protection restrictions of high voltage/current and low voltage/current to ensure the safety of person and equipment. 
13. When testing CVT, not only the capacitance and dielectric loss values of C1 and C2 can be automatically tested, but also the total capacitance and dielectric loss values of CVT equipment can be tested. 
14. With a thermal printer, it can print out, with a calendar clock, to facilitate users to produce test reports, with U disk output. 
15. With computer interface. A computer can control 32 instruments, which can be integrated into an integrated high-voltage test vehicle to realize measurement, data processing and report output. 
16. Grounding protection function. When the instrument is not grounded or grounded badly, the instrument does not enter the normal procedure and does not output high voltage. Overcurrent  protection function, the instrument will not be damaged when the sample is short-circuit or breakdown.

FAQ

Q1: Cannot finish complete dielectric loss measurement, partial measuring mode cannot be activated
Customer: When we test transformer dielectric loss on-site, some test modes cannot be selected and full measurement cannot complete. What is the possible cause?

Please troubleshoot step-by-step: First check all high-voltage cables, signal wires and grounding connections, ensure terminals are firm without looseness or oxidation. Q2: Test data has big deviation compared with historical record, no system alarm
Customer: The tester runs without alarm, but tan-delta & capacitance data deviate obviously from historical records. How to solve it?
Manufacturer: Large deviation is mainly caused by poor contact, surface dirt on high-voltage equipment or field electromagnetic interference. Please clean the surface of tested high-voltage equipment terminals, re-check all wiring connections. Keep high-voltage test cables away from other large-current power lines to reduce interference. Re-perform measurement. If deviation remains, check actual insulation condition of the device under test.
Q3: Device triggers protection alarm during long-time continuous test, alarm still after power-cycle
Customer: After long-time continuous field test, protection alarm pops up. Power off and restart cannot clear alarm. Is internal hardware damaged?
Manufacturer: Mostly it is over-current / over-voltage protection lock instead of permanent damage. Cut off main power supply, keep power-off for 25 minutes for full reset. Re-power the instrument, clear alarm record on touch-screen menu and restart test. If alarm recurs, contact our technical support team, dis-assembly is forbidden.

Customer: In substation strong electromagnetic environment, the tester resets automatically occasionally and USB data communication fails. How to avoid this issue?
Manufacturer: Auto-reset & communication failure are usually caused by power-supply fluctuation and unreliable grounding. Use independent stable power source, do not share power loop with other high-power equipment. Complete reliable grounding for whole set instrument.
